Fresh Cut is a video magazine created by Fresh Cut Media, a production company based in Chicago, IL.

Focusing on unique content that is often overlooked by the mainstream media, Fresh Cut captures a diverse cross-section of art, culture, news and commentary through the lens of new media.

Dorothee Royal-Hedinger has worked both in front of and behind the camera in independent and documentary film production. She is new media strategist at See3 where she specializes in web video and online outreach. “Sun-Powered Purses”, a video she co-produced was recently featured on You Tube’s homepage and airs on Current TV along with “What Can Regular People Do?“. Dorothee is an alum of the University of Chicago where she studied political science.

Hassan S. Ali has directed and co-produced over 50 episodes for Current TV’s “Joe Gets…” and “What’s Wrong With…” series since 2005. He is an alum of the University of Chicago where he was news editor of the Chicago Maroon. He now runs Up To Speed, an online news quiz show.
