The AP ran a timely article today called “Writers discuss turning books into movies.” Find it here.
To Jay Bonansinga, this is probably both music to his ears but also a case of “Tell me something I don’t know.” Especially this bit from the article: “During this tumultuous, strike-hobbled awards season, at least a dozen movies with literary roots have real shots at winning the biggest prizes.”
It’s definitely worth mentioning that Jay has three original screenplays in development in Hollywood. And yes, as he is a member of the WGA, he is indeed on strike, along with Stash star Tim Kazurinsky.
Fans of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” should be able to recognize “Stash” star Tim Kazurinsky: He played Hugh Mellon, the financier for Larry David’s new restaurant in Season 3.
