Fresh Cut drops in on the Hyde Park Hair Salon in Chicago, where Senator Barack Obama has gotten his hair cut for nearly a decade.

a great street video. it was a clever choice to interview subjects in the middle
of their process. i think it disarms them from the usual unnatural tension of an interview setting and gives the piece a meditative flow. nice to learn about
b. obama’s regular guy self too. anything that dispells the dreaded “elitist” moniker can only help.

Great video. I bet a haircut there cost about $15. Maybe if John Edwards went to that shop, he’d still be in the race.
